Raw Material

Baylan is highly selective in purchasing the scrap to produce a high quality brass alloy. The quality of scrap directly effects the grain structure and the mechanical specialities of the material.

The following materials are used in Baylan production process;

- SHG ZINC INGOT
- MIX BRASS SCRAP
- WATER METER SCRAP
- COPPER ROPE
- BRASS TURNINGS
- GRANULATED BRASS

CASTING AND EXTRUSION

Scraps are melted in melting furnace with additives to meet with the international specification for brass alloys, Before transfering the molten metal to the waiting furnace, we make sure that the alloy complies with the standards.

At the waiting furnace, continues casting process takes place and after the alloy solidifies its been cut into billets.
Final stage is the extrusion process, this is a process by which work material is heated and forced through a die, resulting in an extended part that can be cut to size as needed.
